Lucinda graduated from the University of Westminster with a BSc(Hons) in Traditional Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture in 2008. After graduating, she went to further her studies at Nanjing’s University of Chinese Medicine in China, where she worked in a variety of hospitals.
Since returning from China, Lucinda has practiced in several private clinics in London, as well as working with Hoxton Health Group at St. Leonard’s Hospital and the NHS Gateway Clinic, treating patients with chronic pain, addictions and HIV.
Since moving to Sheffield 11 years ago with her family, Lucinda has focused her work by specialising in Oncology whilst working at Weston Park Cancer Support Centre, offering free acupuncture to breast, prostate and gynaecological cancer patients. She has also recently completed a diploma in Paediatrics Acupuncture enabling her to continue treating children of all ages, from new-borns to teenagers, which she loves to do and is more than qualified to undertake.
At Dronfield Health and Physiotherapy Clinic, Lucinda provides safe, effective holistic acupuncture for all her patients. She likes to focus each treatment on improving the overall health of her patients, rather than just the presenting condition, offering unique treatments tailored to the individual. During the initial consultation, she will take a detailed medical history and look closely at the patient’s diet, lifestyle and emotional wellbeing, so that she can advise and treat accordingly. She may also use cupping, moxibustion (moxa), auricular (ear) acupuncture and electro-acupuncture alongside the acupuncture, if necessary, to ensure the best possible results.
